The PPLSolutions’ complex billing application is a newly implemented proprietary business application, designed specifically to provide the billing capabilities required to be competitive in deregulated and regulated energy markets. This scalable billing system can handle over 1 million bills per month. In addition, it can support multiple billing locations while associating an individual bill account with the source location. Billing transactions and determinants are monitored on a real-time basis.

When all bill determinants are available, bill calculation is performed immediately. The system is fully integrated with CCH tax software used to acquire tax data and assign taxing jurisdictions and rates to accounts. Any billing exceptions can be corrected in real-time using a Web-based Billing Transaction Interface (BTI).
